Chinese Tea Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup white sugar

2 tablespoons sesame seeds

8 ounces fresh pineapple with juice

3 tablespoons honey

1 teaspoon grated ginger root

1/8 cup vegetable oil

1 medium egg

1/4 teaspoon sugar for garnish

Directions

In a medium bowl, mix 1 cup white sugar, sesame seeds, pineapple, honey and ginger. Spread mixture into a small glass bowl and immediately fill the glass with pineapple juice. Stir together gently while flcing egg. Chill in refrigerator while stirring occasionally. Fruit will be soft but not brown.

When fruit has warmed, toss gently with a wooden spoon. Pat a layer of fruit mixture onto pie plate and press whole mixture into the glass. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to low; simmer for 15 minutes or until sugar is absorbed and fruit is cool. Spoon 1 tablespoon pineapple juice over pie while warm.

Gently drizzle fruit mixture into a tiny bowl or wooden spoon.
