3 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves each
1 (1 ounce) can sliced mushrooms
1/4 cup butter, melted
1/4 cup chicken broth
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 egg
1/2 cup chopped onion
salt and pepper to taste
1 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Place chicken breasts in a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle mushrooms and melted butter over chicken, then pour broth over all. Sprinkle flour over chicken. In a mixing bowl, beat egg.
Stir mushroom mixture and flour mixture into baking dish. Cover dish with aluminum foil. Place chicken over chicken breasts. Place mushroom mixture on top of chicken. Set aside.
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 30 minutes, turning chicken every 15 minutes. Turn chicken every 10 minutes for 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, in a medium saucepan, mix chicken broth and flour. Place chicken broth mixture over chicken. Sprinkle with egg and salt and pepper over chicken. Sprinkle with paprika and basil over chicken. Bake for 20 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through.
