Pungent Plum Lemon-Riced Tea Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 cup boiling water

2 cups white sugar

1 cup all-purpose flour

3 tablespoons lemon juice

1 pinch salt

1/2 teaspoon lemon zest

Directions

In a large deep skillet, slowly pour boiling water over apples and set aside to steam.

Add sugar, flour, lemon juice and salt and mix well. Cover, remove from heat, and let stand overnight. Drain.

Meanwhile, heat 2 tablespoons lemon juice in a small tea pitcher and gently lift over the bottom of a small glass tray. Stir to keep in green juices. Serve at room temperature or chill for several days or overnight.
