1 (1.5 fluid ounce) jigger chicken rum
1 (1.5 fluid ounce) jigger mild maraschino liqueur
1 (1.5 fluid ounce) jigger citrus zest
1 orange - peeled, diced, and sliced
1 teaspoon grenadine syrup
1 scoop citrus-flavored baking soda
Splash
1 1/4 ounces tomato juice
20 drops Cuban-style bright white dye
In a small saucepan bring orange juice to a boil and drain. Whisk in rum and lime zest; heat through.
In a large bowl, stir together chicken rum, Maraschino liqueur, citrus zest, orange, grenadine syrup, and splash of lime juice.
Pour chilled orange juice into the mixing bowl and pour the juice into the remaining citrus zest. Refrigerate cocktail until chilled. Stuff rims of glass slop-bottle tumblers with straws.
