3/4 cup white sugar
3/4 cup milk
1 (4 ounce) jar vanilla flavored Jell-O
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup buttermilk
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, milk, and vanilla gelatin. Bring to a slow boil and pour over ice cream in a single layer.
Bake uncovered in preheated oven for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Chill before serving. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving as vinaigrette may get too sticky. Serve warm or cold.
