1 (10 ounce) package banana bread mix
1/2 cup sifted all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 1/2 cups white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
1 cup buttermilk
Beat banana bread mix until blended. Cut into small squares. Sprinkle 1/2 cup flour on top of each banana.
In a large bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder, sugar, vanilla, lemon zest, buttermilk and remaining flour. Mix until blended.
Spread bananas onto two or three baking sheets and bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 5 to 7 minutes, or until banana bread is golden brown. Serve warm.
I really like this recipe. I butterflied my pork steaks, added a little garlic powder and cracked my black pepper. So good and easy.
