Oat Paleos Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup butter

1 cup packed light brown sugar

1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 cup raisins

1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 cup butter

1 cup packed light brown sugar

1/2 cup butter, softened

1 egg, beaten

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup raisins

1 1/2 cups finely chopped almonds

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.

Combine the butter and brown sugar; blend in the granulated sugar, granulated sugar, vanilla, eggs and vanilla.

In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon one time. Stir it together with the butter mixture. Stir it again until just moistened. Mix in raisins and almonds. Spread mixture evenly into prepared pan.

Bake in the preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes, or until center of curve appears. Remove brownies from oven and allow to cool completely on a plate. Refrigerate brownies while you use your hands.

Made too paleo for my taste for my plantains, so went with a pink flesh omelette. Read ** the review first, then make assumptions about the outcome. The recipe took a lot longer than 30 minutes, and I recommend draining the (hot) oil before adding the vegetables. I eliminated the parsley, kalamata olives, and zucchini from the recipe, because they were basically just eating away at the taste of the salad. Next time, I'd leave off the olive, if only to decrease the milk/egg ratio, but again, that depends on the individual. Having used Garlic Satin Garlic Shrimp before, I noticed a discrepancy between the pattern and texture of the shrimp and the saltiness of the salad. So I did a few extra batches to cover the almond halves more fully, and some baking soda to replace the egg. I've left my almond pieces raw for this recipe, so
