3 1/2 cups water
1 1/4 cups white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons lemon juice
3 tablespoons lemon juice
In a small saucepan combine the water, sugar, vanilla and lemon juice. Bring mixture to a boil, reduce heat to low and stir until sugar is dissolved. Bring to a simmer and simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve hot.
