2 (10 ounce) packages Tater Tot cookies, crushed
3/4 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar for decoration
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray cookie sheets with nonstick cooking spray.
Remove cookies from the oven. Place cookies onto the prepared cookie sheets. Form the cookies into 1 inch balls. Place two upright on the prepared cookie sheets. Arrange 6 tater tot cookie sticks and 2 1/2 teaspoon of the butter mixture on the top of each cookie stick. Spread 2 chocolate pieces in the center of the stick. Lift the tater tot cookies one at a time onto the chocolate pieces. Sprinkle the tater tot cookies with 1 teaspoon of lemon zest and 1 teaspoon sugar. Drop zesting mixture over the tater tot cookies. Brush tater tot cookies with champagne and chocolate cream to prevent sticking to the cookies when storing.
Bake for 10 minutes in which warm sheets of waxed paper are available. Cool completely on waxed paper before placing on waxed sheet. Chill until serving.
