1 pound ground beef
1/2 (15 ounce) can diced tomatoes
1/2 (16 ounce) container sour cream
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 1/2 tablespoons dried basil
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
1/4 cup chopped onion
In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef and brown the tomatoes. Pour in the chili powder, basil, oregano and tomato soup. Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring often. Stirring constantly, allow meat to completely brown.
Remove from heat. Add the browned meat and tomatoes to the skillet and stir together. Fill the skillet with water to cover and simmer over medium heat for about 10 minutes.
During the last 10 minutes of cooking, stir in the onion and cook for about 3 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in chili powder mixture. Return meat mixture to the skillet and stir and return to simmer for 1 minute.
