1/2 cup olive oil
1 cup soaked bread crumbs
2 tablespoons dried parsley
1 teaspoon dried mozzarella cheese
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon dry mustard
1 1/2 teaspoons dry black pepper
1 (10 ounce) package frozen butternut squash, thawed and drained
1/8 teaspoon white pepper flakes, divided
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
2 bay leaves
5 slices processed American cheese
Heat a medium saucepan over high heat. Cook bread crumbs in olive oil for about 5 minutes.
Remove a large portion of the bread cloud from the bread. Brush bread crumbs with parsley, then salt, dry mustard, black pepper and garlic salt. Fold in squash and pepper and spread into 2- quart baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese.
Bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes. Let cool for 5 minutes then cool completely.
