16 ounces white bread cubes
1 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped dark sweet celery
3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 cups vanilla wafers
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) Grease a 9 x 13 inch pan.
Lightly butter a 9x13 inch baking dish or metal bowl set aside.
Using a fork, stir together the baked and mashed sweet celery with the melted butter or margarine. Stir until all milk is absorbed. Next, stir in the vanilla wafers, 2 cups of dry crushed cookies. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow to cool in the dish before removing from oven and cooling completely before removing from baking sheets. Chill before serving.
