1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup Italian-style salad dressing
1/4 cup golden raisins
1 teaspoon dried minced onion
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon dried sage
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
2 tablespoons tomato paste
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 pound pita breads, broken into 1 inch cubes
In a medium bowl, mix Worcestershire sauce, Italian-style salad dressing, golden raisins, onion, basil, sage and thyme. Cover and refrigerate for at least 24 hours to allow flavors to blend. Heat olive oil and thinly brush pita sandwiches with 1/4 cup mixture. Fold pita into the mixture and place on hot cooked plates.
To Serve: Spread pita mixture evenly on sandwiches and cover with a slice of hot pita bread. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
