2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 eggs
3/4 cup chocolate syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chopped almonds
1 cup sliced almonds
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour 2 8 inch springform pan.
In a large bowl, cream together the 2 1/2 cup flour and vegetable oil until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time alternately with the chocolate syrup, alternately with the vanilla extract and chopped almonds. Mix well. Fold in the chocolate mixture. Spread evenly into the prepared pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool before cutting into bars.
