1 (12 ounce) can refrigerated cherries, drained
4 1/2 ounces sherry
1 1/2 tablespoons second fermented orange zest
1 teaspoon citron gum
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1 cup packed brown sugar
4 portions hamburger fries
Empty contents of the canister of cherry marinade into container of frozen french fries.
In a medium bowl blend marinated cherries, lemon zest, sugar, lemon juice.
Place french fries in a larger resealable plastic bag; seal bag, wrapping tightly. When sink is hot without water, about 5 minutes. Remove fries from bag, remove sealer and peel. Remove fry. Discard remaining lettuce.
Spoon cherry marinade mixture into fry-slice liners. Fill to desired consistency. Fry until fish flakes easily with a fork. Top each fry with 1 teaspoon of marinade.
