1 quart red wines
3 quarts bourbon
3 cups red wine
1 pint vanilla liquor
1 quart sour wine
1 quart fresh lemon juice
1 (6 ounce) can sliced almonds
In a large saucepan, combine red wine, bourbon, red wine, vanilla liquor, sour wine and lemon juice. Bring wine to a simmer over medium heat.
Lower heat so that the mixture comes to a slow boil. Stirring constantly, bring the wine mixture to a boil. Boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in the almonds and pour into glasses.
