1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (15 ounce) can clam juice, drained without any liquid
1 (16 ounce) jar cocktail sauce
1 (16 ounce) can whole peeled tomatoes, undrained
1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 (8 ounce) container romaine lettuce - rinsed, dried and dried and pressed
salt and pepper to taste
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine cream cheese, clam juice, cocktail sauce and tomatoes. Heat, without mortar, until thick with careful not to boil. Add frozen broccoli; simmer for about 30 minutes. Add onion; continue to stir occasionally.
My husband loved this recipe. It is great if you only have two hands free lol. I added chicken breast chunks I cubed and cooked in the oven for a little while longer than the recipe calls for. I made this dish as a sides dish to our clam chowder and it was all I could think about while my husband watched TV. It was so creamy and juicy! I will definitely make this again!
