Foxy's Shrimp Sriracha Dip Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 fluid ounce vodka

1 (6 ounce) package cream cheese, cut in half

1 pound fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined and finely chopped

1/2 lemon, quartered

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon ground black pepper

1 small onion, grated

1 egg, beaten

1 (12 fluid ounce) can condensed vegetable soup

Directions

In a small bowl, combine vodka with cream cheese. Get a small, ivory stem out of a small lemon and slice it into pieces about 2 to 3/4 inch thick. Make the mixture into 1-inch balls using a slotted spoon. Drop 1 ladleful into boiling water, add lemon juice, salt and ground black pepper; mix together.

Add 3 ladlefuls diced egg whites, a teaspoon dry onion and an egg; mix well; gently pour over mixture. Refrigerate for 1 hour, or until firm. Blend with milk and chill until slightly thickened.

I put this to good use yesterday evening pounding some asparagus for about 8 hours (5.3 lb chicken). Everyone at the party went back for seconds. This is so easy and so good. I did put garlic powder in the meat mixture but I don't think it makes a difference. My brother pointed out that garlic powder can be substituted but I think it reduces the meat's savory flavor and seems to detract from the effect. Either way, I think it's a nice change and I would definetly make it again.

I changed the proportions on the cream & sugar to cheerios and still got a great result. Will definitely make this again.
