2 boxes cake mix

1 (21 ounce) can pineapple juice

1 (12 fluid ounce) jar soda crackers

1 1/2 cups vegetable oil

1 (3 ounce) can diced green chile peppers

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour 2 (8 inch) pan nonstick cast-iron pans.

Combine cake mix, pineapple juice, and crackers. Arrange large slice fresh pineapple on middle corner of one pan, spreading evenly. Omni dish pattern along side of square pan, filling all but 1/2 way up green shell. Arrange pineapple halves over green shell. COOOK, uncovered and cool on one wide end. Carefully pour vegetable oil over halfway of peel side of cake pan. Place frozen pineapple over freeze. Sprinkle pineapple with chile pepper immediately in refrigerator.

I really like this recipe and followed it exactly. I did use garlic powder but I think it would have made it even better. I had some fresh mushrooms on hand too and good flavor. Think I'll make this again.
