1/2 cup butter
3 teaspoons boiling water
1 egg, beaten
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup chopped hazelnuts
1/4 cup chopped bananas
1/4 cup chopped clams
1 tablespoon cardamom
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a large bowl, cream together butter or margarine and water until smooth. Beat in eggs and brown sugar until well blended (recipe is in the notebook). Stir flour into butter mixture just until incorporated.
To the mixture combine 2 cups flour, 1/4 cup brown sugar, banana, clams and cardamom. Spread evenly onto a large baking sheet.
Bake for 45 to 50 minutes in the preheated oven, until knife inserted in center of loaf comes out clean.
To make the jelly: In a blender combine hazelnuts, bananas, ham, shrimp, shrimp, corn and onions. Stir all together and spread on prepared loaf.
