2 pounds ground pork
8 eggs, beaten
1 onion, sliced
4 teaspoons salt
4 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2/3 cup red chili flakes (optional)
8 tablespoons chopped maraschino cherries
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
In a large bowl, mix together ground pork, eggs, onion, salt, flour, baking powder, cinnamon and maraschino cherries.
Pour flour into 10 loaf pans; sprinkle with baking powder, and bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 15 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 310 degrees F (165 degrees C) , bake an additional 40 minutes or until a knife inserted into a loaf comes out clean. Cool, peel skins off slivered patties and stir in wine. When done, place back into the loaf pan. Simmer or stir wine, cracked crumbs, 1/2 cup milk and lemon juice, and maraschino cherries in a small bowl for 10 minutes. (Optional) Put cherries in wine, and store overnight in containers.
