1 cup corn syrup
1 cup nonfat shortening
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup rum flavored brandy
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 tablespoons golden syrup
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
1 teaspoon cornstarch
8 cups water
In a large saucepan, heat corn syrup over medium heat. Add the nonfat shortening, baking soda, and rum brandy; mix well. Reduce heat to low. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low; cook, stirring occasionally, for 3 minutes. Remove from heat.
Raise bottom of a 2 quart casserole dish open to popcorn; pour cocoa over mixture. Sprinkle top with golden syrup and dispine chocolate bits of popcorn on top. Heat through and stir in with cornstarch; spoon over popcorn.
