2 quarts olive oil
1 cup chopped onion
2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon dried basil
salt to taste
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons white wine
1/2 cup white wine
3 cloves garlic, peeled, crushed
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
salt and pepper to taste
Heat olive oil in a large bowl over medium heat. Saute onions until tender. Stir in Italian seasoning, basil, salt and paprika. Cook until tender-crisp, about 15 seconds. Season with lemon juice and wine. Stir in garlic, olive oil, Parmesan and salt and pepper. Serve immediately or toss with bread.
