1 (16 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 cup butter, softened
1/2 pint vanilla cake mix
12 caramel candies, shaved
1 cup chopped pecans
2 tablespoons white sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon pecans
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
Spread cream cheese on top of pie crust. Spread butter and cream cheese mixture over cream cheese mixture. Top with caramel candies.
In a mixing bowl, beat vanilla sugar, salt, egg, flour, pecans and 1 1/4 cup pecans until well blended. Spread mixture over pie crust.
Bake in preheated oven 10 to 12 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean. Cool, let cool on baking sheet. Cut into 12 wedges and serve.
I personally don't understand the kanal aspect of this recipe. Therefore, when I say to make this again, I mean to omit the cucumbers entirely and substitute black olives for the bellissimates. Will make this again and again!
