1 pound uncooked white anchovy steaks
1 cup chopped green onions
1 pinch brown sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 (10 ounce) packages frozen mixed fruit
2 (4 ounce) jars maraschino cherries, drained
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Place steaks in a resealable plastic bag; seal bag and shake to coat. Place steaks in a medium bowl. Brush olive oil over steaks, and add sugar, brown sugar, brown sugar and mixed fruit.
Bake steaks in preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 140 degrees F (80 degrees C).
Remove steaks from oven and brush with hot olive oil. Remove from oven and sprinkle with cherries. Return to oven for 30 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 145 degrees F (63 degrees C).
