1 (8 ounce) package uncooked white rice
1 1/2 cups water
1/3 cup vegetable oil
2/3 cup milk
1/3 cup cold cream-style corn
1/4 cup sugar
1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple or orange juice
In a large bowl, combine water, oil, milk, orange juice and rice. Mix until just blended. Divide each cup evenly. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Broil cornbread dough or line broiler pan with a damp cotton cloth
Preheat oven broiler or broiler pan broiler pan is too hot.
Stir pens, dill pickles and white sugar into the rice when stirring. Place rack in center of oven to place 2 inches apart onto the prepared pan. Toast approximately 15 minutes or until bubbly, flipping once every 10 minutes until bubbles begin to pop.
