1/2 cup white sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg white
1 (1 pound) package orange flavored Jell-O
1/2 cup boiling water
3 1/2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
3/4 cup shortening
3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Divide the batter evenly among paper liners.
Mix blueberries and sugar in a medium bowl; stir in egg white and milk. Beat until light, then stir model mixture into the egg mixture using hand mixer. Stir in cocoa, flour, salt and baking soda. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto prepared cookie sheets.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes in the preheated oven, until edges start to brown. Cool on baking sheet for 1 minute before removing from cookie sheets to cool on wire racks.
