1 (18.25 ounce) package White Dutch Brie cheese
1/2 cup milk
1 (3 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 (16 ounce) package Dutch processed cheese food, sliced
1/2 cup lard
1 cup confectioners' sugar
Place German Brie cheese cubes in a large bowl. Stir in milk, pudding mix, oil, and cheese. Mix well, then pour mixture into the skillet and stir fry until golden brown.
Heat oil in small saucepan over medium heat. Pour or scoop about 1/2 inch of batter into skillet and creamed mixture. Fry 6 to 8 minutes on each side, until golden. Place on top of green plastic wrap and microwave 5 minutes. Remove and cool completely. Keep refrigerated.
Remove cheese and sauce from skillet and pour on white crust.
Bake in preheated oven until golden brown, about 5 minutes. Remove bread from pan and pass 1/2 inch of cheese mixture onto bottom of pan. Place white cheese layer on top of cheese. Pour custard over top of cream cheese and cheese and sprinkle remaining cheese over top. Top with remaining bread. Cover mixture with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight until serving.
It's my first time making it and I'm surprised how easy it is! It tasted different from normal Italian food; perhaps because I used uncooked black olives. The texture was excellent! I did what another reviewer did and then added the raisins. I also added a small pinch of this sweet stuff and used garlic powder when mixing with flour. This was very good and very easy but I wouldn't necessarily go back.
