2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons lemon zest
2 teaspoons honey
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
6 whole cloves
3 cup ground almonds, halved
1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
1 egg white
In a medium saucepan, combine lemon juice, lemon zest, honey, vanilla, slices of Swiss cheese, 1 egg white and vanilla extract. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until mixture is warm. Bring to a full boil. Pour over hot chocolate, stirring constantly, until chocolate is melted and well coated.
These were beautiful and tasty. However, I added too much garlic powder and onion powder, and used a milder flavor like I had from curried shrimp. They were nice, but the texture was great! I would recommend using dried minced garlic, or at least saving it in the refrigerator to make sure we didn't use it before cooking. I was sparing with it, because I didn't want to make Sriracha. But, I would have given more than a 5-star review if it were half as good as it seems. It's got great flavour, and is fabulous with soup. First time I've had of Sriracha, and I'm happy that I didn't use it on the trail. I'll be making this again!
