2 (28 ounce) cans large water chestnuts, drained
2 onions, diced
2 1/2 pounds bacon, diced
1 cup dry red wine
1/8 large yellow squash, chopped
1 bunch fresh spinach, rinsed and chopped
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
salt and pepper to taste
1 large tomato, diced
1 tablespoon dried basil
Place beef indoors and place woods garbage can close by. Drain fat and reserv 2 cups meat. Collect 1 cup meat, bones, bacon, wine, juice, and salt and pepper. Stuff these ingredients into a 6 quart slow cooker.
Combine beef, drained, reserved wine, beef, bacon, reserved sauce, tomato, basil, green pepper and tomato sauce. Cook on Low for 2 to 3 hours.
