1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
1 cup chopped onions
1 cup chopped celery
1 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
1/2 cup chopped green chile peppers
1 cup chopped green onions
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a mixing bowl, mix pecans, onion, celery, green bell pepper, green chiles, green onions and salt. Mix thoroughly. Transfer mixture to a 9x13 inch baking dish and scatter pecans in 1/2 cup of all the remaining butter.
Bake 15 minutes in the preheated oven, until the top of the chicken is no longer pink. Reduce heat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and bake an extra 15 minutes, until no longer pink.
Remove from baking dish and sprinkle with remaining butter. Pour mixture evenly over chicken.
