2 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1 pinch salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
4 artichoke hearts, trimmed and sliced
In a medium bowl, mix the mayonnaise, lemon juice, soy sauce, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, artichoke hearts and brown sugar until well blended. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
In a tightly covered medium saucepan, heat 2 slices of artichoke hearts until they are quite brown. Remove from the heat and place in the pan. Fry gently for 1 to 2 minutes, turning once, then flip over. Fry for 2 to 3 seconds on each side or until golden. Drain on paper towels.
