Caramel Corn Squares Recipe

Ingredients

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup white sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 tablespoons butter flavored extract

1 egg, beaten

1 cup heavy whipping cream

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

1 cup white sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon lemon zest

3 tablespoons rum

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup butter flavored extract

1 cup chocolate chips

Directions

Beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla into one pan of the electric mixer. Mix with a large spoon until lightly whipped. Chill cream cheese mixture in refrigerator.

In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese mixture until smooth and creamy. Beat in egg and butter flavoring until well blended. Gradually blend in 1/2 cup of whipping cream and 1 cup sugar until a stiff sauce has formed, or slightly thickened. Blend in lemon zest and rum vanilla.

Pour cream cheese mixture into the remaining pan of the mixer. Mix with egg until combined. Spread mixture over cream cheese mixture and spread or pipe cream cheese mixture over cream cheese mixture. Refrigerate 8 hours or overnight before serving.
