Braised Chicken in Cream Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup vegetable oil

1 pound chicken breast halves

1 medium onion, diced

1 medium carrot, diced

1 small celery, diced

1 small onion, sliced

1 medium carrot, sliced

1 medium head cabbage, sliced

1 medium head cauliflower, cut into 1/2 inch slices

6 slices whole wheat bread

Directions

Heat oil in large saucepan over medium heat. Pour chicken mixture into pan. Cover, and cook 15 minutes, stirring constantly, until chicken is no longer pink and juices run clear. Strain liquid from pan into large bowl. Add onions, carrots, celery, onion slices, cauliflower, and bread. Mix thoroughly, and whisk in 1 cup chicken broth. Cover, and simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until chicken is no longer pink and juices run clear.
