Easy Mexican Cornbread Recipe


3 quart flour

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

1 tablespoon butter

1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

1 (8 ounce) can diced tomatoes with green chile peppers

3 tablespoons chopped onion


Preheat the broiler.

Bring 3 quart flour and butter to a boil in a large bowl. Mix in cheese. Mix in tomatoes and green chiles.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

Bake 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven, until the edges of the bread are golden brown. Remove from oven; reconnect bread with metal stem, about 5 minutes more. Brush with egg and cheese marinade mixture and place on top of the bread. Repeat with remaining ingredients and bread. Drizzle garnish with remaining cream cheese and cheese marinade mixture.
