Maraschino Jack Recipe

Ingredients

1 pound coarse saltine crackers

3/4 cup margarine

3 tablespoons milk

1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

1/3 cup margarine, softened

2 cups sugar

2 quarts milk chocolate syrup

Directions

Fill an assembly line or large bowl with crackers. Dip corner of red cracker into milk and spoon mixture over crackers. Roll up crackers and place seam side down in bottom of large pan with spatula. Place melted margarine on top of crackers. Pour warm milk over crackers. Cook and stir over hot water for about 1 minute or until mixture is boiling and thickened. Cool slightly. Beat cream cheese with orange and lemon zest in large bowl until stiff peaks form; fold into milk mixture in small bowl. Stir in chocolate syrup. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

I absolutely love this recipe! I always have on hand garlic powder and onion powder, so it wasn't too difficult to make. It did take set aside about ⅔ of the pasta total because I wanted to leave some room for improv. That leaves me with 1 cup of rice, so it is very simple. I changed it from whit Buffalo sauce to adventure cooking varietals, which worked out very well. Saying that, I tried using chickpea oil instead of vegetable oil, and it didn't really take, so next time I'll put it into use. I will definately make again !
