Honeydew Bake Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 cup milk

1/2 cup vegetable oil

4 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

2 cups chopped pecans

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup vegetable oil

1/2 cup margarine, softened

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1/3 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup white sugar

1 tablespoon honey, melted

Directions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Fill a 9x13 inch pan with aluminum foil.

In a large bowl, cream together the milk, oil, eggs and vanilla until light and fluffy. Beat in the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, pecans and honey. Mix alternately with margarine, brown sugar and white sugar.

Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool completely before frosting.

To make the frosting: In a small saucepan whisk together the brown sugar and white sugar, then add the egg. Mix thoroughly. Pour into serving dishes and drizzle with margarine.
