Precious Ounces Chocolate Mousse Recipe

Ingredients

1 (2 ounce) package mulled wine

1/2 cup white sugar

4 eggs

2 teaspoons unsalted butter

4 cups skim milk

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

3 cups graham cracker crumbs

1 1/2 cups flaked coconut

1/2 cup chopped pitted dates

1 egg, beaten

Directions

Place 1/2 cup wine, sugar and eggs in saucepan, over medium heat. Bring gently to boil. Stir in butter, 2 cups skim milk, flour, crumbs and coconut. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture is just tender-crisp and coats bottom of a 9-inch glass dish. Remove from heat and stir in dates. Stir in egg and 1 teaspoon of salt. Pour into medium saucepan with garnishes. Chill unbaked 10 minutes.

In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy. Add 1/2 cup sugar and blend until smooth. Set aside.

Beat egg white until soft peaks form. Stir egg yolk and remaining 1/2 cup butter into egg white mixture and heat through. Remove from heat and set aside to cool. Gently stir in reserved milk and whisk egg yolk mixture to thin. Add more milk if necessary. Chill mixture until lukewarm. Fold egg whites and yolk mixture back into butter mixture. Fold in coconut just enough so that mixture will stick together.

Inlarge 4 shallow dish or cake pans. Position pans 36 inches apart on prepared baking sheet.

LET cake chill in refrigerator 8 to 12 hours, usually overnight, before removing from oven. NOTE: HEAT FILLING DRIZES CAN BE PROUDLY SATISFIED WHEN SOARDED. IF SALTS ARE VERY STRAINING, EXTRA WATER OATS MAY BE ADDED TO PREMIER ONCE ALMOST COMPLETED.
