1 (1 ounce) package frozen whipped topping, thawed
1/2 cup popcorn syrup
3/4 cup vegetable oil
1 (8 ounce) package frozen mixed vegetables, thawed
2 eggs, lightly beaten
3 cups crushed cornflakes cereal
2 cups rolled oats
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
To Make Popcorn Gumbo: In a small saucepan, mix the popcorn syrup, oil, mixed vegetables, eggs, cornflakes cereal and oats.
Spread mixture over one piece of toast. Continue to spread mixture over each piece of toast, covering while spreading.
Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes. Turn onto a plate and let cool.
