6 large Dutch oven browned sausage
1/8 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup water
1 onion, chopped
1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 pound bacon, cut into 1 inch strips
2 pounds frozen egg noodles
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 tablespoon butter
1 cup milk
Brown the sausage with vegetable oil and brown sugar. Remove from pan and drain on paper towels. Refrigerate at least 1 hour. In a medium saucepan, mix brown sugar, water, onion, parsley, salt, sugar and bacon until well blended. Remove from heat and stir in egg noodles. Return to a medium saucepan and heat over medium heat for 1 hour.
Remove from heat and stir in cream cheese, butter and milk. Pour over the brown sugar mixture. Chill mixture for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
Remove from refrigerator and serve warm.
