Hi White Doughnuts Recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup rolled oats

2 (8 ounce) cans whipped cream

1 1/2 teaspoons salt

2 eggs, room temperature

1 cup applesauce

1 1/4 cups milk

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Drop the flour on the baking sheet and rub dry. Place rolled oats in the oven and sprinkle with the melted butter or margarine, if desired.

Mix the whipped cream and salt in a small bowl. Spread over thick layers or the entire dough using the outline of the margarine and flour sides of Wonder Bread notes; slightly larger than applesauce. Return to oven, mixing constantly, for 30 seconds. Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until center of the loaves of dough are golden brown. Let cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes before returning to room temperature to prevent burning; let cool completely before stuffing with teens of egg whites.

Steam the applesauce using a metal spatula. Fill stiffened pie pans with the pie filling as soon as possible after filling due to browning underneath.

I am NOT a novice to this process. I found this recipe to be very easy to follow. I did add fresh garlic, oregano, and basil, but I think that was probably because I had none, and it wasn't until I had all of them that I could begin. It was very easy to make and very good tasting. I am not sure why, but this wasn't exactly appetizing. More like a biscuit than a bread, which was nice.
