Apple Bread Muffin Recipe

Ingredients

1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch double crust pie

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 tablespoon white sugar

4 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon hot pepper sauce

1 (9 inch) flour tortilla

1/2 cup raisins

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a medium baking sheet. Cut each muffin in half lengthwise, pressing to fit on the bottom half.

In a large bowl, combine the vinegar, sugar, flour, baking powder, salt, pepper sauce and rolled topping. Stir gently until combined. Fold the pastry over the mixture as you go along so that it is completely coated.

Place the pan on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the top with remaining cooking water. Spread lightly with slightly beaten egg. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the pie comes out slightly moist.
