3 tablespoons olive oil
1 medium onion, peeled and chopped
1 medium red bell pepper, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 bay leaf
salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
ground black pepper to taste
1/2 teaspoon dried chili seasoning
1/8 teaspoon dried basil
In a large pot over medium heat, combine olive oil and onion. Saute onion until tender. Rinse and pat dry. Stir in red pepper and garlic. Cook about 5 minutes, being careful not to burn. Stir in bay leaf. Place chili seasoning in a shallow dish or shallow bowl and roll out to an approximately 4 inch diameter shape. Pour or scoop over chili mixture, stirring to coat.
Stir in Worcestershire sauce, chili seasoning. Bring to a boil; reduce heat, cover and boil about 20 minutes. Stir gently. Remove from heat. Pour over chili mixture and stir gently. Serve hot.
