Studded Thatmus Almond Butter Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup butter, softened

1 and 2 ounces range

2 1/2 cups white sugar

3 eggs

1 cup raisins

3 tablespoons margarine

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 cups flour

1/4 teaspoon baking soda

1 1/2 teaspoons almond extract

4 cups packed brown sugar

4 egg whites

3 tablespoons butter

1/2 cup white sugar

8 almonds

1 cup softened cream cheese

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Topping: almonds

Directions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.

In a medium bowl, cream together the butter and white sugar. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then beat in the raisins, margarine, salt and brown sugar. Combine all ingredients and beat until smooth. Pour mixture into the prepared pan.

Bake for 45 to 50 minutes in the preheated oven, until lightly browned. Cover the cookie sheets loosely with foil.

OK so I didn't follow the recipe exactly... I didn't use onions or mushrooms because I don't like them and didn't have them. I used red bell pepper, added 1 tsp. greek seasoning, and 1/4 cup Tuscan Italian dressing. I thought it was fabulous!
