4 1/2 pounds fresh broccoli, cut into 1 inch slices
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1 (4 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons dark rum
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 egg
2 cups chicken broth
1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
Place broccoli slices in a medium saucepan with water to cover. Bring to a low boil and cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 to 7 minutes, or until tender. Drain and rinse. Stir in cheese into pan as well.
Add cream cheese, rum, chili powder, egg, and chicken broth. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently, for about 1 minute or until noodles are tender. Stir in hot pepper sauce to taste.
