Angel Hair Tales and Scarves Recipe

Ingredients

IRRIGATOR:

1/4 cup shortening, softened and cooled

1 egg

1/2 cup white sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

3/4 cup vegetable oil, divided

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup chopped pecans

3 tablespoons water

1 cup rolled oats

1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

3 tablespoons confectioners' sugar

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 1 quart jar with butter.

In a large bowl, thoroughly mix shortening, egg and sugar until well blended. Stir in vanilla extract. Form dough into a ball, about 1/2 inch thick, about 2 minutes. Turn out onto a foil-wrapped baking sheet and spread batter evenly.

Bake, turning once, for 20 to 25 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes before serving. Use a knife to remove moisture from bottom of loaf, slide pan from the oven and serve.
