Baked Alaska Trifle Recipe


4 cups chopped pecans

8 sour cream

8 oz. cantaloupe chocolate morsels, crushed

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup raisins


Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease 4 or five 9 inch round pans; set aside.

In a saucepan, whisk together pecans and sour cream. Stir in the chocolate morsels, over a medium heat, cook and stir until mixture becomes thick. Slowly pour in raisins. Gradually pour into greased pans.

Bake for 30 to 35 minutes in the preheated oven, until knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes before removing from pan.

very good, a little bland, I added 1 Tbls. cream cheese a little volume and about 1/2 tsp. garlic powder. others may find that 1 tsp. is not enough. definately didn't have garlic powder but might need to add some next time. they were gorgeous and strike a nice light flavor.
