1 (16 ounce) package cream cheese
1 (3 ounce) can sliced almonds
1/4 cup white sugar
1 (8 ounce) container frozen chocolates, thawed
In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and almonds until smooth. Add sugar, then mix well. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
To make the frosting: Gradually blend butter or margarine and confectioners' sugar in a small bowl. Beat in almonds. Gradually beat in sugar until smooth. Gradually blend in melted chocolate.
This is quite beautiful. However, I would have prefered less glitter and less oil. The dark purple color is beautiful but does tend to get dull. Would have prefered darker rum and upped the rum to 1/2 cup. Overall, solid yet interesting experiment.
