1 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups milk
3/4 cup white sugar
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 1/4 cups confectioners' sugar
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
In a medium bowl, cream together shortening and milk until smooth. Beat in sugar, egg, and vanilla. Beat in the flour. Stir in the confectioners' sugar. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheet.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
