1/2 cup milk
1/3 cup butter
1/3 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
In a large bowl, mix the milk, butter, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla and cream of tartar. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
Bake in the preheated oven for 1 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Cool completely in pan, remove from pan and place in dryer. Dust with confectioners' sugar.
